Eskişehir man breaks into apartment to confront former colleague

Eskişehir Odunpazarı apartment break-in harassment police investigation

In the Odunpazarı district of Eskişehir, a man identified as Ş. U. attempted to break into the home of a former colleague, Semih Köse, during the early hours of September 24, 2026.

According to reports, the suspect arrived at the apartment building around 02:00, engaged in a verbal altercation with Köse via the intercom, and subsequently used a hard object to shatter the glass of the building's entrance door. After entering the building, the suspect proceeded to the victim's apartment and began kicking the door. Köse, who was inside with his wife and children, contacted emergency services after locking the door.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. Köse stated that the individual has a history of targeting him, including previous incidents of vehicle part theft and attempted arson of the apartment building. Local authorities have launched an investigation to apprehend the suspect.
