Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality launches cleanliness campaign
The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality has intensified its ‘Tertemiz Eskişehir’ (Clean Eskişehir) campaign to promote a healthier and more livable urban environment. The municipality's Police Department is conducting regular inspections across streets, boulevards, and parks to prevent environmental pollution.
Individuals identified as littering or violating cleanliness regulations face administrative fines of 3,705 TL per person. In addition to monitoring waste disposal, inspections also focus on the unauthorized use of signs or materials and general public order in communal spaces.
Municipal officials emphasized that the initiative aims to go beyond punitive measures by fostering social awareness and a sense of collective responsibility among citizens. The campaign seeks to establish long-term cleanliness consciousness throughout the city.
