Elderly Man Osman Kuyumcu Found Dead After Falling Into Rize Ravine

Eighty‑six‑year‑old Osman Kuyumcu was reported missing for two days in the Çamlıhemşin district of Rize Province. Search teams from the 112 emergency service and jandarma rescue units located his vehicle after it had left the road and rolled down an approximately 600‑metre‑deep ravine near Boğaz Yaylası Çiftiçami. The vehicle was recovered and rescuers descended the slope with ropes to reach the driver. Kuyumcu was found dead inside the vehicle; his body was taken to a morgue. Authorities have opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
