Şile motorcycle accident claims second life on Darlık Yolu

A fatal motorcycle accident occurred on the Darlık Yolu in Şile, Istanbul, claiming the life of 30-year-old Yıldırım Ersan. Ersan reportedly lost control of his motorcycle while navigating a sharp turn, causing his tire to slip and sending him into a wooded area. Despite medical intervention at Şile State Hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

This incident marks the second fatal accident at this specific location in recent weeks. On August 17, 21-year-old Ceyda Yakova also lost her life on the same stretch of road, known as Avlak Virajı, after her motorcycle hit gravel and struck a signpost. Local observers and aerial footage highlight the dangerous nature of the sharp curves and road conditions on this route, which has increasingly become known as a “death road” by locals.
