Eskişehir motorcyclist fined 202,500 lira after hitting municipal guard

In the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir, Turkey, a 27‑year‑old motorcyclist (Taha C. A.) ignored a stop warning from municipal guard R. Ü. and collided with the officer on Mahir Street, injuring the guard’s ankle. Both the guard and the rider were taken to Yunus Emre State Hospital; the rider later claimed he had fallen.

Police investigations concluded that the rider was at fault and imposed an administrative fine of 202,500 Turkish lira. Legal proceedings against the motorcyclist remain ongoing.
