Eskişehir political dispute erupts over use of public spaces

A political dispute has emerged in Eskişehir regarding the use of public spaces for political activities. YENİ Parti Member of Parliament İbrahim Arslan raised questions concerning the use of Dede Korkut Park by the AK Parti, calling for documentation regarding permits and the potential financial loss to the public.

In response, AK Parti Eskişehir Provincial Chairman Gürhan Albayrak defended the party's actions, stating that all programs held at the park, including religious observances and national holiday celebrations, are open to the public and fully documented. Albayrak challenged Arslan to specify which public events were problematic.

Albayrak further extended the critique to the YENİ Parti, questioning the legality and payment of fees for their use of the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) and Kentpark. He demanded transparency regarding allocation certificates and usage fees for these public areas.
