Eskişehir: Puppy killed by gunshot in suspected animal cruelty case

In the Tepebaşı district of Eskişehir, a puppy died after allegedly being shot in the head with a handgun. The incident occurred in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood when a suspect, identified as Y. I., reportedly attacked a mother dog and her puppy that had entered his garden.

Following the attack, the puppy was rushed to a veterinary clinic, but died despite medical interventions. The mother dog was also injured and remains under treatment. Local authorities and animal rights activists reported the incident to the gendarmerie, who subsequently detained the suspect. A court has placed Y. I. under house arrest while the investigation continues.
