Eskişehir Sevinç neighborhood receives natural gas connection
A new 15-kilometer natural gas network has been completed in the Sevinç neighborhood of the Odunpazarı district in Eskişehir. The project, which was finished in four months, provides service to 380 subscribers, allowing residents to transition away from coal and wood heating this winter.
During the inauguration ceremony, AK Party Eskişehir Deputy Fatih Dönmez noted that the Alpu district is also expected to begin using natural gas in the coming days. He also mentioned that a bypass line is being completed to improve local traffic and infrastructure safety.
Regarding national energy developments, Dönmez stated that natural gas reserves in the Black Sea have reached 780 billion cubic meters. He highlighted that the second phase of production is progressing, with a new platform to be established 170 kilometers offshore. This platform is expected to have a daily capacity of 10 million cubic meters and an annual capacity of 3.5 billion cubic meters. Once the second phase is complete, approximately 8 million households will be able to use domestic natural gas.
