Eskişehir student arrested after resisting police during traffic inspection
A 27-year-old university student, identified as Y. Y. K., has been arrested in Eskişehir following an incident during a routine traffic inspection. Police officers stopped the vehicle after discovering an illegal exhaust system. During the encounter, the suspect allegedly resisted officers and claimed to be a deputy governor.
In court, the suspect denied claiming to be a deputy governor and stated that he was a cage fighter who refrained from retaliating out of respect for the uniforms. He argued that the police used pepper spray on him and expressed concern that the impounding of his vehicle would prevent him from attending school. Following an evaluation of police statements, camera footage, and medical reports, the court ordered his arrest on charges of resisting an officer to prevent the performance of duty.
