Eskişehir to host inaugural International Porsuk Festival

The first International Eskişehir Porsuk Festival will take place from September 2 to September 6, 2026, as part of the ‘2026 Eskişehir Year’ celebrations. Organized by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and sponsored by ETI, the event centers on the Porsuk River and aims to showcase the city’s cultural capacity on an international scale.

The five-day program includes music, cinema, theater, dance, exhibitions, workshops, and sports talks. Artists from over 20 countries, including Germany, the USA, Azerbaijan, China, the UK, South Korea, and Egypt, are expected to participate. Key locations for the festivities include Kentpark, Sümerpark, Adalar Mevkii, Köprübaşı, and İskele26.

The festival begins on September 2, the city’s Liberation Day, with a land and river parade, mapping shows, and DJ performances. The closing ceremony on September 6 will feature the presentation of the Council of Europe Honorary Flag Award, followed by a symphonic concert by the band Mor ve ötesi accompanied by the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Symphony Orchestra.
