Eskişehir to Host International Half Marathon and Sports Festival with 2,465 Athletes

The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, with ETİ Lifalif as the main sponsor, will stage the International Eskişehir Half Marathon and Sports Festival on 15‑16 August. The event, themed “2026 Eskişehir Year – I Run,” features a 10‑km race, a 21‑km half marathon, a paralympic category and a children’s run, drawing 2,465 participants from 13‑14 countries including the United States, Russia, Iran and several European and African nations.

Beyond the races, the two‑day festival will offer yoga, pilates, zumba, sports games and workshops at Sazova Science, Culture and Art Park. Officials highlighted the expected boost to tourism, hospitality, retail and transport sectors, emphasizing that each step taken by athletes also promotes Eskişehir’s cultural heritage and economic development.
