Turkey supports women entrepreneurs in Eskişehir, Erzurum and Kütahya

In Eskişehir, women gathered at Haller Park to sell handmade jewellery, decorative soaps and other crafts, inviting residents to purchase their products. One vendor, Banu Sipahi, said, "Bütün kadınların emeği değerlidir" (All women's work is valuable) and highlighted that she is an earthquake survivor from Hatay who now produces and sells her items independently.

In Erzurum, the Ministry of Family and Social Services, together with the governor’s office and Halkbank, operated a mobile "Yükselen Kadınlar" entrepreneurship education truck. The event offered training on entrepreneurship basics, digitalisation, e‑commerce, branding, finance and legal matters. Speakers including Vali Yardımcısı Didem Dinç Özay and provincial director Hasan Aykut thanked the presidency and the ministry, emphasising that women’s economic participation is crucial for national development.

In Kütahya, the Kadın Acil Destek (KADES) safety application was installed on the phones of 62 women working in the Gediz Organized Industrial Zone. Jandarma officers demonstrated how the app enables quick emergency assistance for women experiencing violence, part of a broader effort to raise awareness of women’s rights and protect them from domestic abuse.
