ESMA to host Paris event on financial data and reporting

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) will host the second edition of ESMA Data Day in Paris on November 24, 2026. Titled ‘Data in the Savings and Investment Union – from burden to opportunity’, the event aims to bring together regulators and industry representatives to discuss how technology and improved data usage can enhance financial supervision while reducing reporting burdens.

Discussions will focus on several key areas, including supervisory reporting, regulatory disclosures, and the integration of capital markets across the European Union. The program will examine the Market Integration and Supervision Package (MISP), financial transaction reporting, and integrated reporting for investment funds. Additionally, the event will cover the European Single Access Point (ESAP), which is designed to centralize access to public financial and sustainability information, as well as the ongoing monitoring of crypto-assets.
