Esmelle residents report property damage and blocked access due to caravan parking

Residents in the Esmelle area of Ferrol are reporting significant disruptions caused by the unauthorized parking of caravans and vans on private land. The influx of vehicles throughout the summer has reportedly caused severe deterioration of the terrain, leaving the ground “completely upturned.”

The affected area is located near a surf club and is situated within a space protected by the Red Natura 2000 network and subject to coastal regulations. The situation escalated when a recovery crane, sent to remove a parked vehicle, became stuck in the damaged ground. This incident resulted in the crane blocking the only access road, preventing local residents from entering or exiting their homes with their own vehicles.

Local residents are calling for solutions to prevent further damage to the private property and the surrounding environmentally protected landscape.
