Espacata wins National Speed Skating Cup and sets two records

The Espacata school secured the general classification title at the National Speed Skating Cup, marking a successful start to the 2026-2027 season. The event took place at the new Malecón Deportivo skating rink with approximately 150 athletes from 15 clubs participating.

During the competition, two new national records were established in the 200-meter event. In the Pre-juvenile category, Ali Junior Araujo completed the distance in 19.200 seconds. In the Cadet category, Justin Fanol recorded a time of 20.26 seconds. Both athletes are part of the ‘Patina Conmigo’ training program, an initiative by Espacata designed to develop young Dominican skaters.
