Espanyol signs Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Moscardo on loan

RCD Espanyol has completed the loan signing of 20‑year‑old Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Moscardo from Paris Saint‑Germain until the end of the season, with no purchase option. Moscardo, whose rights were bought by PSG for €20 million in January 2024, previously played for Corinthians in Brazil, Stade Reims in France and Braga in Portugal.

The player said he is "ready to be a starter" and will fight for a place in midfield alongside Urko González, Lozano and Expósito. Club sporting director Monchi explained that Espanyol needed a versatile central midfielder and identified Moscardo as a priority target. Moscardo expressed his ambition to help the team compete for the upper part of the La Liga table and highlighted his experience adapting to European football.
