Esparza inaugurates renovated state-of-the-art athletic track
The canton of Esparza in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, has inaugurated a newly renovated, state-of-the-art athletic track at the Hugo Millet Carranza Arce Sports, Cultural, and Tourist City. The project was led by the Municipality of Esparza and the Cantonal Committee of Sports and Recreation.
The renovation required an investment of ¢230,040,500. This initiative is part of a strategic effort to decentralize high-level sports infrastructure in Costa Rica by providing world-class training facilities to the Central Pacific region.
Legal experts note that such public infrastructure projects require strict adherence to administrative contracting and municipal procurement laws to ensure transparency, prevent budget overruns, and maintain public trust.
