Esperance Sportive de Tunis seeks new coach after Reghecampf departure

Esperance Sportive de Tunis is actively searching for a new head coach following the departure of Laurentiu Reghecampf. Reghecampf confirmed his decision to leave during a meeting with club president Hamdi Meddeb and Chokri El Ouaer, citing a loss of mutual confidence following a defeat against Jeunesse Sportive d’El Omrane. Per his contract, Reghecampf is required to pay a $170,000 release clause, a sum reportedly being handled by Steaua Bucarest.

In the search for a successor, Spanish coach Pablo Franco has emerged as a potential candidate. Franco, who previously managed Maghreb Fassi and has experience in Spain, Georgia, Tanzania, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia, is reportedly in negotiations with the club. Another name mentioned as a possible fit for the required profile is Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić, known for his experience with Egypt's Pyramids.
