Espigão Alto do Iguaçu earmarks over R$330,000 for sports venue upgrades

The Sports Secretariat of Espigão Alto do Iguaçu announced a municipal investment exceeding R$330,000 to improve local sports facilities. The budget includes R$136,678 for waterproofing the roof of the municipal sports gym with an asphalt membrane, R$150,035.91 to close and metal‑plate the basketball court in the Vila Rica neighbourhood, and R$46,193.58 for epoxy/polyurethane painting of the same court. Additional funds will purchase sports kits for use in social projects, schools and community clubs, aiming to strengthen training, competition and youth participation in the municipality.

The initiative reflects the current administration’s commitment to enhance sporting infrastructure and expand opportunities for children, teenagers and the broader community.
