Esporte Clube Bahia has issued a statement addressing concerns regarding the pitch conditions at Arena Fonte Nova. The club responded to criticisms made by coach Rogério Ceni, asserting that while they receive regular technical reports on the turf, they do not agree with the current quality of the field.

Bahia noted that they had previously warned stadium management about excessive sand in a recently replaced section of the pitch prior to their recent match against Vasco. The club also expressed ongoing concern regarding the impact of concerts and shows held at the stadium, stating that events requiring pitch coverage cause damage such as holes and marks, which hinder the grass's ability to recover and maintain high-level playing standards.
