Esporte Clube Bahia invests in coaching training and youth player integration

Esporte Clube Bahia is implementing professional development initiatives for its youth academy staff and integrating key players back into the squad.

Leonardo Galbes, the coach of Bahia’s U-20 team, is traveling to Germany to complete the in-person stage of a UEFA B coaching license course. Following his studies, Galbes will travel to Manchester, England, for a four-day technical exchange at the Manchester City complex. This immersion is part of a methodological exchange program between Bahia and other clubs within the City Football Group ecosystem. During his absence, assistant coach Lucas Grilo will lead the U-20 team in their Copa do Brasil match against Botafogo.

Additionally, youth prospects Ruan Pablo and Kauê Furquim have returned to Bahia after representing the Brazilian U-20 and U-17 national teams, respectively. Ruan Pablo recently competed against Mexico, while Kauê Furquim finished as the top scorer in the UEFA Friendship Tournament. Both players are now available for selection in upcoming matches for either the professional squad or the U-20 team.
