Esporte Clube Pinheiros fields 15 runners in São Paulo City Marathon

The SP City Marathon took place on 26 July in São Paulo, drawing a record 32,000 participants from Brazil and abroad. Winners were Maria Aparecida Ferraz (women, 2 h 42 min 19 s) and Gilmar Silvestre Lopes (men, 2 h 16 min 34 s).

Esporte Clube Pinheiros entered 15 affiliated athletes, 14 of whom were registered with the club's Road Running Department. Among them, the couple Luisa Baldassare and Gabriel Manssur ran the half‑marathon side‑by‑side, finishing together in 2 h 02 min 54 s. Luisa said, “Running my first half‑marathon was a very special experience… it became my first big goal.” Their participation highlighted the club’s support system and personal development focus.

The marathon featured both the full 42.2 km distance and a 21.1 km half‑marathon, with a broad international field and local club representation.
