Pinheiros Club Players Compete in Santos Brazil M25 Tennis Classic

Esporte Clube Pinheiros hosted matches of the Santos Brasil Tennis Classic WT M25 on its clay courts. Brazilian players Kiko D’Amorim, Henrique Nogueira, Tomás Macedo, Felipe Mifano Pinto and João Machado featured in both singles and doubles draws.

Nogueira and Macedo debuted as a doubles pair on 22 May, facing Argentine duo Nicolas Holander and Tadeo Meneo and were eliminated in the first round. In singles, Kiko D’Amorim lost to Argentina’s Carlos Maria Zarate (7‑6 4‑6 6‑0) after winning a tight first set tiebreak. Both Nogueira and D’Amorim had been eliminated from the main singles draw earlier in the tournament.

The event also provided valuable professional experience for the club’s junior players. Head coach Eduardo Echer highlighted that participation prepares them for the upcoming Brazilian national championships in Uberlândia. Youths João Machado, Felipe Mifano Pinto and Tomás Macedo competed in qualifying and doubles, gaining exposure against seasoned international opponents.
