Esports tournaments launch for youth and students in Taiwan and China
Major esports competitions for youth and university students have launched in Taiwan and China.
In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, the 6th National Esports Youth Championship is now accepting registrations. Organized by the Kaohsiung City Government, the tournament features Valorant and Street Fighter 6. The competition offers a total prize pool of 600,000 TWD, with the Valorant champion receiving 200,000 TWD. Online qualifiers begin in late October, leading to an offline final at the Kaohsiung MRT Formosa Boulevard Station in November.
In China, Migu Games has opened registration for the 2026 Dynamic Zone Campus Esports League Autumn Season. The tournament is open to university students nationwide and includes titles such as Honor of Kings, Peacekeeper Elite, and Valorant. The competition features an elite invitation tournament involving prestigious universities like Tsinghua and Peking University. The schedule includes online qualifiers from late October to mid-November, culminating in a grand final in early December.
