Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2 groups set, 24 teams seeded for $2 million prize
The first week of the Esports World Cup 2026 begins on 7 July with the Dota 2 competition. Twenty‑four qualified teams from around the world are placed into four groups (A‑D) and will compete for a share of a $2 million prize pool.
Group A features BB, Team Gamer, Legion, Poor Rangers, Rune Eaters, Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming. Group B includes Aurora Gaming, L1, Level Up, Nigma Galaxy, PTime and Team Liquid. Group C consists of Mouz, Parivision, Rekonix, Team Nemesis and Vici Gaming. Group D contains 1w Team, IC x Insanity, LGD Gaming, OG Esports, Team Yandex and Virtus.pro.
The group stage runs from 7–12 July; the top team from each group advances directly to the playoffs, the bottom two are eliminated, and the remaining three per group move to a survival round (14–15 July) that trims the field to four teams joining the group winners in a single‑elimination playoff (16–19 July).
