Esports World Cup 2026 finals shifted to Paris' Accor Arena

The Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 will host its Counter‑Strike 2 Championship Finals on 23 August at Paris' Accor Arena after tickets for the originally planned venue at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles sold out. The tournament features a $2 million prize pool, 32 teams and a split‑stage format, with Natus Vincere currently leading the Club Championship standings.

In the same event, the EA Sports FC Pro World Championship brought together 36 top players from 17 nations. The competition, backed by a $1 million prize pool, saw Romanian player Razvan “RvPLegend” Puiu win the title after advancing through play‑ins and knockout rounds. Over 350,000 participants entered more than 230 qualifying events, with major football clubs and esports organizations represented.

Both tournaments are part of the broader EWC 2026 programme in Paris, highlighting the city's growing role as a hub for high‑profile esports competitions.
