Esports World Cup 2026 launches Teamfight Tactics group stage, club championship rankings released

The Teamfight Tactics event of the 2026 Esports World Cup began on July 21 with group‑stage matches. Sixteen teams are split into two groups of eight, each group sending four teams to the playoffs via a double‑elimination bracket. Group A fixtures include Weibo Gaming vs T1 (09:00 BST), GodLike Esports vs Fnatic, Team Vision vs Movistar KOI, and Team Vitality vs Flash Wolves. Group B fixtures feature Mouz vs AG. AL, Zeta Division vs JD Gaming, Team Nemesis vs Virtus.pro and NS RedForce vs Aurora Gaming. The group stage runs July 21‑23, followed by playoffs on July 24‑25.

After week 2 of the seven‑week tournament, the overall club championship standings were updated. A $30 million prize pool is contested, with $7 million for the champion. Natus Vincere leads with 1,750 points, followed by Team Vitality (1,400) and AG. AL International (1,100). Several teams sit on 1,000 points, while Team Falcons is 14th with 600 points. Points are earned across more than 20 events covering titles such as Fatal Fury, MLBB Women’s, Free Fire, League of Legends, Apex Legends and Valorant.
