Esposende hosts intermunicipal congress on child and youth protection

The 5th Intermunicipal Congress on the Protection of Children and Youth was held in Esposende, focusing on the theme ‘Childhoods that ask for time, systems that ask for change’. The two-day event brought together professionals, specialists, and institutional leaders to analyze evolving needs among children and adolescents and the necessary adaptations to existing protection systems.

Organized jointly by the Commissions for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ) and the municipalities of Esposende, Barcelos, Vila Nova de Famalicão, and Vila Verde, the congress emphasized the importance of intermunicipal cooperation and networked work. Key participants included Ana Isabel Valente, President of the National Commission for the Rights of Children and Youth, along with municipal representatives and CPCJ presidents from the organizing regions.
