Espírito Santo clubs clinch state football titles, eye national competitions

In the 2026 edition of the Copa Vitória das Comunidades women's tournament, two favorites vied for a spot in the quarter‑finals on Monday in Itararé. The reigning champion, known as the Estadual, entered the match with a perfect record and the tournament’s best attack (16 goals in two games), needing a win to secure advancement. Their opponent, Vila Soccer, sought redemption after an opening‑day loss, while the group’s runner‑up Vila Nova also chased a place after a 4‑0 victory over Andorinhas.

Separate state‑level finals saw Ibiraçu and Porto Vitória capture the Capixabão Sub‑15 and Sub‑17 titles, respectively. Ibiraçu won its first Sub‑15 championship after a penalty shoot‑out, earning a berth in next year’s Copa do Brasil Sub‑15. Porto Vitória secured its tenth Sub‑17 crown, also qualifying for the Copa do Brasil Sub‑17. Both finals were played at Salvador Costa stadium in Vitória and featured the inaugural use of VAR Light in the youth competitions.
