Espírito Santo coffee exports reach record 4.3 million bags

Coffee exports from the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo reached record levels between January and August, with more than 4.3 million bags shipped through the ports of Vitória and Vila Velha. This represents a 58% increase compared to the same period in 2025, surpassing the total volume recorded in the entire previous year.

The growth was primarily driven by Conilon coffee, which saw a 74% increase in exports, while Arabica exports rose by 27%. Conversely, soluble coffee exports declined by 14%. Total foreign exchange revenue for the period exceeded US$ 1 billion, a 26% increase year-over-year.

In August alone, 854,000 bags were exported, marking the seventh-highest monthly volume recorded by the Centro do Comércio de Café de Vitória (CCCV) since its data series began in 1990. Major destinations included Belgium (21%), Mexico (15%), and Germany (8%). Fabrício Tristão, president of the CCCV, attributed the performance to exporter investments in processing, storage, and quality reliability.
