Espírito Santo launches new football development centre and upgrades local fields

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), in partnership with FIFA and the Espírito Santo State Football Federation (FES), will inaugurate the Espírito Santo Football Development Centre (CDF‑ES) on 30 July in Bicanga, Serra. Built with FIFA’s 2014 World Cup legacy funds, the 18,000 m² complex includes a FIFA‑Quality synthetic pitch, a 480‑seat stand, training facilities for referees, women's and amateur football, and a range of support rooms. Officials from CBF, FIFA, CONMEBOL, the state government and the municipality are expected to attend, and a festival for 100 children will mark the opening.

Separately, the Espírito Santo state government has earmarked R$1.6 million to refurbish two municipal fields in the Conceição da Barra districts of Catita and Cohab under the “Bom de Bola” program. The upgrades aim to modernise the venues used by 32 local teams and will be accompanied by the distribution of equipment such as backpacks, balls and new uniforms for youth players.
