Espírito Santo Police Military Recruitment Offers 1,008 Positions

The Polícia Militar do Espírito Santo (PMES) announced the final day to apply for its recruitment drive, with applications closing at 23:59 on Wednesday, 8 July. The contest provides a total of 1,008 vacancies – 1,000 for combat soldiers and eight for soldier musicians – and will be administered by the Instituto de Desenvolvimento Educacional, Cultural e Assistência Nacional (Idecan).

The first phase, consisting of objective and essay tests, is scheduled for 16 August in various municipalities of the Greater Vitória region and inland cities such as Alegre, Aracruz, Barra de São Francisco, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Colatina, Linhares, Nova Venécia, São Mateus and Venda Nova do Imigrante. Successful candidates will begin training at the Police Academy in Cariacica in 2027, receiving a gross salary of R$ 2,010.40 plus an R$ 800 food allowance, which rises to R$ 5,713.99 after promotion to soldier.

Eligibility requirements include ages 18‑28, minimum heights of 1.60 m (men) or 1.55 m (women), a completed high school education, a valid driver’s licence (category B), and clearance through physical, psychological and background assessments.
