Espírito Santo reports industrial growth and healthcare expansion

The state of Espírito Santo is experiencing significant economic growth in both the industrial and healthcare sectors. In the first half of 2026, the healthcare segment created 1,855 new jobs, accounting for over 20% of new service sector positions in the state. The healthcare chain currently supports approximately 73,000 formal jobs, with over 1.4 million beneficiaries of medical assistance plans.

Rede Saúde has launched a new strategic cycle for 2026-2027 focusing on quality and human resources to address the complexities of this expanding market. This growth is also being felt in interior municipalities such as Linhares, Colatina, and Cachoeiro de Itapemirim.

Simultaneously, Espírito Santo's industry led national industrial production growth during the first half of the year. The Industrial Entrepreneur Confidence Index (ICEI-ES) rose to 50.6 points in August, signaling a return to business confidence. While current business conditions show improvement, expectations for the next six months remain cautiously optimistic.
