Espírito Santo Triathlon: Touca Preta Leads as 550 Athletes Compete

The Touca Preta triathlon team, founded at the Clube Ítalo Brasileiro in Vitória and coached by Clávio Nicchio, has become the dominant force in Espírito Santo. The squad grew from a youth swimming program into a collective that regularly wins state titles, with athletes such as Isabela Chen, Cesar Brioschi Lopes and other multiple‑time champions.

On Sunday, 2 May, the Capixaba de Ferro race in Guarapari is set to bring together about 550 triathletes from across Brazil. The event is part of a weekend of sports activities in the state, including football matches, road races and community fitness programs, drawing large local participation and media coverage.
