Esquel appoints Gastón Escobar as Director of Neighborhood Boards

Gastón Escobar has assumed the role of Director of Neighborhood Boards (Juntas Vecinales) for the Municipality of Esquel, Argentina. With this appointment, the department has been elevated to the rank of a Directorate.

Escobar, who previously led the neighborhood association for the 28 de Junio district, stated that his appointment was a collective decision rather than an individual one. He intends to implement a more active profile for the area, focusing on strengthening community organization across the city's various neighborhoods.

Addressing potential political scrutiny regarding his Peronist affiliations, Escobar emphasized that his priority remains his responsibility to his team and the local residents. He noted that the proposal for his role had been discussed with Mayor Matías Taccetta since the beginning of the year.
