Esquel launches environmental education program in schools

The Municipality of Esquel has launched the “Mi Escuela Separa” environmental education program, targeting all primary and secondary schools in the city. The initiative, introduced at Escuela Politécnica N° 701, focuses on teaching students about waste separation, composting, and responsible disposal.

The program aims to reduce the volume of waste sent to the local landfill to extend its operational lifespan. Municipal teams are visiting educational institutions to provide teachers with manuals, workshops, and practical activities designed to integrate sustainable habits into the daily school curriculum.
