Esquerra Republicana focuses on local politics in Roses and Igualada

Esquerra Republicana (ERC) officials are focusing on local political strategies and upcoming municipal elections in Catalonia. In Roses, the party's general vice-secretaries held a working meeting to prepare for the 2027 municipal elections. During the meeting, the party expressed support for Joan Plana as the candidate to reclaim the mayoralty of Roses. The meeting was part of an effort to decentralize party activities and engage directly with regional realities.

In Igualada, ERC candidates Roger Rodrigo and Darius Solé have criticized the local government's 100,000 euro expenditure on new lighting for the Town Hall square. They argued that the festive lighting lacks style and that the funds would be better utilized to support local commerce, incentivize property rentals, or prevent the exodus of young talent from the city.
