EsSalud issues over 2,570 disability certificates via telecertification
EsSalud has issued more than 2,570 disability certificates through a new telecertification strategy designed to reduce barriers for insured individuals. By utilizing the National Telemedicine Center (Cenate), the social health insurance provider allows for specialized remote evaluations, which helps patients avoid the physical and financial difficulties of traveling to health facilities.
Executive President Dr. Zulema Tomas highlighted that this digital transformation aims to eliminate bureaucracy and ensure timely access to rights, particularly for those with severe disabilities or reduced mobility. The initiative connects patients with specialists from their own localities, facilitating more agile evaluation processes.
