EsSalud nurse accused of using medical leave for political activity

An EsSalud nurse in Juliaca, Giovanna Claudia Dávalos Quispe, is facing scrutiny for allegedly using medical leave to lead a Fuerza Popular political meeting in Puno on September 9. The nurse reportedly submitted a medical certificate signed by internist Rudy Mauro Figueroa Mamani to justify her absence due to a purported family emergency.

Witnesses and reports indicate that Dávalos participated in the pro-Fuerza Popular activity, which included the presence of Congressman César Revilla. The event was reportedly marked by organizational issues, including sudden venue changes. Following the incident, workers at the medical facility have called for an investigation by the Institutional Control Body to determine if medical licenses were misused for political purposes.
