Essen hosts first Tunisian-German economic forum

The first Tunisian-German economic forum is being held in Essen, Germany, on September 17 and 18. The event aims to strengthen decentralized cooperation and create new economic partnership opportunities between Tunisia and the city of Essen.

Participants include representatives from public institutions, economic enterprises, and the private sector from both nations. Key areas of focus for collaboration include healthcare, digital innovation, industrial development, green transformation, and labor skills development.

The forum coincides with the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Tunisia and Germany. It serves as a platform to facilitate direct communication between economic actors to explore joint projects and investments. Currently, approximately 320 German companies operate in Tunisia, supporting around 93,000 jobs.
