Essequibo and Berbice secure wins in GCB U13 cricket

The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Under-13 Inter-County Super 50 competition has seen significant victories for Essequibo, Berbice, and Demerara.

In one match, Essequibo secured a six-wicket win over the GCB Select XI. After the Select XI was dismissed for 117, Saif Hussain led the bowling attack with five wickets for 12 runs. Julian Singh anchored the chase with 47 runs to guide Essequibo to victory.

Berbice also recorded wins in multiple encounters. In one match, Berbice defeated Demerara by 24 runs, posting 146 runs before bowling Demerara out for 122. In a separate match, Berbice dominated Albion GCB XI, bowling them out for just 44 runs. Aaron Perkins contributed significantly to the bowling effort with figures of 4-15.

Demerara also secured a six-wicket victory against Essequibo, chasing down a target of 135 after Essequibo posted 134-8. Xavier Dodson led the Demerara batting with 41 runs.
