Essex Police welcomes 68 new officers at Chelmsford ceremony

Essex Police has officially welcomed 68 new officers following the completion of their training. The recruits were honored during a passing out ceremony held at the force's headquarters in Chelmsford.

The event was attended by dignitaries, including Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex Roger Hirst. This ceremony marked the first of its kind to be led by Chief Constable Rachel Nolan since her appointment. During the proceedings, Chief Constable Nolan emphasized the importance of public service, stating that officers will be present to support people during their most vulnerable moments. Roger Hirst also commended the new officers for their skills and talent, noting the demanding yet rewarding nature of the policing career.
