Essex youth orchestras announce free audition workshops

The Essex Youth Orchestra (EYO) and Essex Youth Jazz Orchestra (EYJO) are hosting free audition workshops for young musicians in Essex. These sessions allow participants to rehearse with current members and experience life within the ensembles.

The EYO audition workshop is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, for musicians playing string, woodwind, brass, or percussion instruments at approximately Grade 7 level or higher. Additionally, the Essex Young People’s Orchestra (EYPO) is recruiting members to provide a progression route into the EYO.

The EYJO audition workshop will take place on Sunday, September 13, for young jazz musicians. Depending on age and experience, participants may be offered positions in either the Essex Youth Jazz Orchestra or Young Essex Jazz.
