EssilorLuxottica reports 20% growth in wearables revenue

EssilorLuxottica reported third-quarter revenue of 486 million euros, representing a 7.2% increase on a currency-adjusted basis. The company's wearables category, which includes AI-powered glasses and Nuance Audio hearing glasses, saw a significant 20% currency-adjusted growth compared to the previous year.

Regional performance within the Professional Solutions division showed varied results. While the North American market saw high single-digit growth in wearables, the EMEA region experienced a decline in wearable revenue compared to the third quarter of 2025. The company attributed some of these fluctuations to a high comparative basis from previous periods.

In the broader hearing aid market, industry shifts are evident as manufacturers increasingly operate their own retail branches. Companies such as Demant and Sonova control a significant portion of German hearing aid locations, while Amplifon's potential acquisition of GN Hearing could further consolidate the market by combining manufacturing with extensive retail networks.
