Essity launches vodcast on female hygiene and care

Essity, in collaboration with Adnkronos, has launched ‘Intimamente noi’, a three-episode vodcast focused on female hygiene and care. The series aims to address the physical, mental, and social dimensions of women's health throughout various life stages, from menarche to menopause.

Sociological research conducted by AstraRicerche for Essity highlights a gap in professional consultation regarding intimate hygiene. The data shows that 36.1% of women do not discuss hygiene concerns with anyone when feeling insecure. While partners (28.9%) and family members (40.9%) are the primary confidants, only 14.5% of women consult medical professionals, such as general practitioners or gynecologists.

The research also indicates that hygiene serves as a social criterion, with 61.1% of respondents reporting they form lasting negative impressions based on signs of poor hygiene.
