Estadio Quisqueya prepared for Dominican winter baseball season

Estadio Quisqueya Juan Marichal is prepared for the upcoming Dominican professional winter baseball season, which is scheduled to begin next Friday. The stadium has undergone various conditioning and remodeling works, including a deep renovation earlier this year involving an investment of approximately $500,000 to prepare for exhibition games.

Key improvements include work on the playing field, infield, and grass aeration, particularly in the outfield. Notable infrastructure changes include the conversion of an old bullpen into an exclusive VIP area. This new zone features a plaza with capacity for 200 seats, several bars, and amenities for approximately 270 people.

The inaugural day of the Lidom season will feature a matchup between Leones del Escogido and Tigres del Licey at the stadium at 7:15 p.m. Other games in the opening round include Águilas Cibaeñas vs. Gigantes del Cibao and Estrellas Orientales vs. Toros del Este.
