Additionally, the Secretariat of Culture and Tourism has opened calls for the 2026 Mural and Graffiti Contest as part of the Urban Cultures Festival. Aimed at professional visual artists, the competition offers prizes of 50,000 pesos, 30,000 pesos, and 20,000 pesos. Selected artists will create works at the Centro Cultural Mexiquense Bicentenario in Texcoco in October 2026, focusing on themes such as peace culture, gender equality, and cultural identity.
