Estado de México expands citizen services for land‑use licensing and name changes
The State of México's Secretariat of Urban Development and Infrastructure (Sedui) operates the "Impulsa" centers in Toluca, Tlalnepantla and Nezahualcóyotl, offering free, in‑person advisory sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays, 09:00‑18:00, to help residents obtain a land‑use license. Meanwhile, the state government under Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez has run a free name‑change program through the Registro Civil. So far 335 people have altered their names to avoid ridicule or discrimination. Applicants submit a written request, a certified copy of their birth certificate and a valid ID; the Council of Decision reviews each case and issues a ruling within 15 business days.
