Estado de México intensifies cleaning at El Ángulo Dam
The Government of the State of Mexico, through the Grupo Tláloc division of the State Water Commission (CAEM), has intensified cleaning and waste removal operations at the El Ángulo Dam in Cuautitlán Izcalli following recent rainfall.
During the operations, crews removed 25 tons of trash and 15 tires to prevent drainage obstructions and reduce the risk of flooding. Although water levels at the dam have risen to 2.35 meters due to precipitation, authorities stated there is currently no risk of overflow that would endanger the population.
To maintain safe operations, personnel are performing daily cleaning of the dam's discharge grates and conducting controlled gate openings to manage water levels. Specialized pumping equipment is being used to direct flow toward Av. 13 de Septiembre in the Niños Héroes Housing Unit to ensure rapid and safe water discharge.
