Estado de México reports multiple missing persons in Tepotzotlán and Zinacantepec

Multiple disappearances have been reported in the State of Mexico, highlighting ongoing security concerns in the region.

In Tepotzotlán, three adolescents—Tadeo Josefat Vargas Ruíz (14), Jaime René Darling Cervantes (15), and Héctor Samuel Guevara Sánchez (15)—disappeared on August 23, 2026, after leaving a local group home without authorization. Families have expressed frustration over the perceived slow response from local authorities and have organized their own search efforts near the La Concha dam.

Additionally, an Amber Alert has been issued for 17-year-old Evelyn Espinoza Guadarrama, who was reported missing in Zinacantepec. She was last seen on August 23, 2026, wearing a black sweatshirt with a skull image, black jeans, and black sneakers. Authorities are requesting public assistance in locating her.
